Preschool For All
Program Information
District 34 offers a needs-based pre-kindergarten program. The program is funded through a state grant called Preschool for All (PFA). There is no tuition or registration fees for this program due to its state funding. Students can be found eligible for this program by participating in the district's PFA screening process. Eligibility is based on state criteria. Once a child is age eligible for kindergarten, they can no longer be eligible for a PFA program.
The program meets five days a week and has AM and PM sections. Placement in AM vs PM is based on the student's home address. D34 offers transportation to and from school based on AM or PM placement.
Screenings
Preschool for All screenings are recommended for students age 3-5 years, who are interested in eligibility/placement in one of our state grant funded preschool for all classrooms. Special education concerns can also be identified at this type of screening.
To request a screening, please complete the Preschool for All Screening Request Form. Information from this form, along with information from the Ages and Stages Questionnaires, will be used to determine enrollment eligibility, as well as the need for additional assessments.
This form and the required documents listed in Section 9 of the form must be received prior to the scheduling of a screening. The link to the Ages and Stages Questionnaire will be sent via email on your assigned screening date.
